On November 10, 2025, Thailand's interim Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul announced the suspension of the peace agreement with Cambodia, which had been brokered by Donald Trump.

The reason for this was the injury of four Thai soldiers due to mine explosions in the border province of Sisaket, which—according to Thailand's National Security Council—were planted after the peace regime was established. The incident led to the resumption of armed clashes in disputed areas.

In turn, Prime Minister Charnvirakul stated a full withdrawal of Thailand from the peace process, accusing Cambodia of failing to fulfill any of the agreement's provisions.
