Rubio Doctrine": a new vision for global containment of autocracies and the role of QUAD in resetting the World Order

On January 13, 2025, the Government of Japan announced its intention to hold the first meeting of QUAD Foreign Ministers for newly elected Secretary of State Marco Rubio after the inauguration of President Donald Trump. 

The formal purpose of the talks will be to discuss the details of the meeting of QUAD leaders to be held in the first half of 2025 in New Delhi.

Senator Rubio, the toughest critic of China in the U.S. Congress, was elected as the future Secretary of State, a result of a multilateral consensus within the Republican Party and Donald Trump's inner circle.

This refers to the position of groups of "classical Republicans" who have agreed to support Donald Trump's presidential campaign, provided that the administration of US foreign policy is entrusted to a person capable of balancing the views and approaches of the Trumpists.
