On June 7, it became known that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken would visit Israel, Egypt, and Qatar. Blinken's trip to Israel will be to discuss the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip with key stakeholders in the region.

Earlier, on June 3, 2024, the Israeli Prime Minister announced that he would agree to a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, provided that Israeli hostages are released, Hamas terrorists' military and civilian capabilities are destroyed, and Gaza's threats to Israel are eliminated.

After the Israeli military ceasefire in Palestine, Washington's goal is to conclude a trilateral agreement between the United States, Israel, and Saudi Arabia.

In exchange for normalizing Riyadh's relations with Jerusalem, the United States proposes to strengthen defense cooperation with the Saudis and help develop their civilian nuclear program.
