Trump signs “One Big Beautiful Bill”: defense industry giants benefit from budget increase and contracts

Solid Info
On July 4, 2025, Donald Trump signed the “One Big Beautiful Bill” (OBBB) into law after its final approval by the U.S. House of Representatives the previous day.
The passage of the “One Big Beautiful Bill” creates favorable conditions for additional appropriations for national security needs, including a $150 billion increase in the U.S. defense budget, bringing the total defense budget for 2025 to over $1 trillion in the 2026 fiscal year.
Of this, $113 billion will be used to supplement the military budget, with the remainder allocated to the development of shipbuilding, munitions, innovative technologies, and the “Golden Dome” missile defense project.
The “One Big Beautiful Bill” allocates $25 billion for the construction of the missile defense program, which Trump initiated through Executive Order 14186 signed in late January 2025.
