Trump Administration prioritizes combating illegal immigration: the U.S. removes China's leverage over domestic security

Solid Info
On January 20, 2025, a few hours after taking office, Donald Trump signed an executive order to protect the meaning and value of American citizenship.
The order terminates birthright citizenship for children born on or after February 19, 2025, to parents at least one of whom does not have lawful permanent resident status or U.S. citizenship.
For the new Republican team, this and other decisions related to combating illegal migration have become one of the ways to neutralize Chinese influence on the security of the United States.
The White House strategy suggests that in order to effectively counter China in a fragmented global conflict, Washington must first deprive Beijing of the ability to control the level, scope, and intensity of internal American security threats.
