Solid Info
On April 8, the U.S. Department of State published a fact sheet identifying Morocco as a vital U.S. partner in the North Africa and Middle East region.
The State Department's statement came shortly after the US intelligence agency's statement that an Iranian attack on Israel was imminent on the night of April 14.
For the United States, Rabat creates a sphere of special interests on the entire African continent, as evidenced by the longstanding defense cooperation between the states (the United States designated Morocco as a major non-NATO ally in 2004).
Against the backdrop of military escalation in the Middle East and Africa, it is critical for Washington that Rabat remains resilient to external and internal threats.
