On November 14, 2024, at an event organized by the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C., OpenAI co-founder Sam Altman said he calls on the United States and allies, particularly from the Middle East, to develop AI systems and compete with China.

Altman added that this cooperation could eventually expand to creating a "global alliance of US allies and partners in the field of AI."

Creating an artificial intelligence alliance with the Middle East is becoming a strategic tool for the United States to limit China's technological influence on Arab countries.

As countries such as the UAE and Saudi Arabia continue to cooperate with Chinese tech companies, this poses national security threats to the United States and risks increased espionage in the territory of US partner countries.
