Elections in EU Member States and the United Kingdom in 2028–2029 as a Period of Vulnerability That the Authoritarian Axis Is Shaping for the Successful Deployment of the Final Stage of the Global Confrontation
Events in 2025 have demonstrated that the supranational governing bodies of the European Union and key governments of EU member states have plunged into a state of political imbalance. This critically weakens their institutional capacity and ability to respond to domestic political challenges and armed threats from abroad.
Conflicts between the leadership of European states, EU transnational institutions, and Euroskeptic parties that are actively gaining popularity in society are increasingly transforming into open crises that have the potential to deprive the European Union of its ability to act as a single, internally cohesive geopolitical force.
Pan-European institutions, which have come under internal pressure from political forces critically opposed to deeper integration, and facing a complex of military, economic, and energy challenges initiated by the axis of autocracies, more frequently demonstrate limited capacity to ensure an effective decision-making process and maintain the trust of European citizens in supranational structures.
