White House steps up intelligence-sharing with European agencies to reduce Euro-Atlantic exposure to Chinese subversive operations

Solid Info
At the end of October 2025, CIA Director John Ratcliffe made a non-public visit to Brussels, where he held talks with European Commission Vice-President Kaja Kallas, as well as with the leadership of the EU Intelligence and Situation Centre (INTCEN) and the EU Military Staff Intelligence Directorate (EUMS).
The main goal of these meetings was to convey the position of the Donald Trump administration that, despite the transactional nature of the White House's foreign policy, Washington is interested in deepening intelligence exchanges with European partners. As a result, the CIA and EU security agencies will resume coordination meetings on a regular basis.
In addition to coordinating issues related to supporting NATO's eastern flanks and Ukraine, the central topic of the talks was countering threats from the PRC in the Euro-Atlantic space.
