US integrates Japanese, Taiwanese and Philippine dynamics in chip manufacturing for future AI

On April 11, 2024, the first trilateral summit between the United States, Japan, and the Philippines took place, reaffirming the framework for cooperation between the United States and its allies in the Asia-Pacific region.

The summit focused on security issues in the South China Sea, expanding cooperation in advanced technology, chips, and communications, and a new infrastructure project, the Luzon Economic Corridor.

The allies have announced a trade corridor connecting the Philippine cities of Subic Bay, Clark, Manila, and Batangas. Ports and railroads will be built to facilitate supply chains, particularly for semiconductor products.
