‘Stakeholder capitalism’: Democrats signal willingness to drive U.S. socio-economic transformation through open collaboration between society and business

From August 19 to 22, 2024, the Democratic National Convention was held in Chicago, Illinois. Kamala Harris was officially endorsed as a presidential candidate, and her running mate, Tim Walz, was nominated for vice president.

In addition to the expected confirmation of Harris and Walz, the convention was accompanied by speeches by key figures of the party establishment, the general content of which put forward to the public the Democratic Party’s vision for the country’s future.
