Slowdown of the U.S. ‘green economy’: a blow to the unity of autocratic axis countries and rebalancing between Washington and Brussels in the European market

The COP29 climate change conference, which will take place in Azerbaijan from November 11 to 22, 2024, will be attended by teams of leaders responsible for energy policy and climate change.

U.S. Climate Representative John Podesta, who attended the COP29, said that Donald Trump will slow down, not stop, the transition to renewables when he returns to the presidency in January 2025.

The Donald Trump administration, while slowing the pace of green economy development and increasing oil and gas production, is pursuing a tough energy strategy aimed at undermining the unity of the autocratic axis, in particular, China, Russia, and Iran.
