U.S. Climate Representative John Podesta, who attended the COP29, said that Donald Trump will slow down, not stop, the transition to renewables when he returns to the presidency in January 2025.

The Donald Trump administration, while slowing the pace of green economy development and increasing oil and gas production, is pursuing a tough energy strategy aimed at undermining the unity of the autocratic axis, in particular, China, Russia, and Iran.
