Renewal of missile weapons and satellites by US companies is a new stage in the US response to China’s growing challenges

On March 6, 2024, the US Army awarded Lockheed Martin a $219 million contract to produce more Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM) for early operational capability (EOC).

This order is the fourth contract for producing long-range surface-to-surface missiles and continuing Lockheed Martin’s large-scale supply of precision missiles.

Thus, a year ago, in April 2023, the company already won an order to supply precision surface-to-air missiles (JAGM) and air-to-surface missiles HELLFIRE. This order was worth $4.5 billion.
