Parliament was officially dissolved on May 30. The newly elected parliamentarians will meet for an inaugural session on July 9. The grand opening of the parliament is scheduled for July 17, during which the king will announce the new government’s agenda.
As required by the United Kingdom’s unwritten constitution, the Prime Minister has already asked the King for permission to hold a general election.
