The 19th G20 Leadership Summit was held in Rio de Janeiro on November 18-19, 2024. As a result, the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty, an initiative of Brazil supported by 81 countries, was officially launched.
Other agreements included promising to increase climate security spending and considering a unified approach to taxing the “ultra-rich.”
At the same time, apart from a call for an immediate ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza, the final declaration of the G20 summit did not contain any urgent geopolitical theses.
