Early voting began in Virginia, Minnesota, and South Dakota on September 20, 2024. During the last decade of September and October 2024, it will begin in the vast majority of states, with the exception of Alabama and New Hampshire, where such a procedure is not provided.
The start of early voting in the United States coincides with Kamala Harris’s loss of political momentum after being nominated as the Democratic Party’s nominee, which was extended by the Vice President’s successful debate with Donald Trump.
Despite presenting her economic and political program, Harris failed to convince significant clusters of voters, including some traditionally Democratic-leaning black and Latino voters.
