On March 15, 2024, the U.S. Department of Energy allocated $750 million for projects in 24 communities across the United States.
This funding is a continuation of the public investment announced in October 2023 in the development of hydrogen production technologies, which included the creation of 7 hydrogen hubs in the United States worth $7 billion.
The ultimate goal of this funding is to achieve the targets set out in the US National Clean Hydrogen Strategy, namely, to reach 10 million tons of clean hydrogen per year by 2030 at the latest.
