According to official reports, the parties planned to discuss further support for Ukraine and the conclusion of a framework agreement on minerals that would provide real security guarantees for Kyiv.
However, the meeting ended early: during a joint press conference in the Oval Office, Zelenskyy and representatives of the US administration had a heated argument over Ukraine’s readiness to negotiate a truce with Russia on President Putin’s terms.
