Japan’s Special Business Zones can increase investment growth through U.S.-Japan cooperation

In May 2024, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida was invited to the conference of the American investment bank and asset management company Morgan Stanley.

In his speech, the Japanese Prime Minister emphasized Japan’s ambitions to become an international financial center with a favorable investment regime for foreign companies and players in the financial services and asset management markets.

During his previous visit to the United States in September 2023, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida emphasized the future reform of his economy to attract foreign capital. He identified special business zones where administrative procedures can be conducted exclusively in English, launched a favorable visa regime, and deregulated.
