From May 24 to 27, 2024, the US Libertarian Party held a convention where Donald Trump sought support for his presidential campaign. The ex-president failed to find common ground with more than 800 libertarian delegates, as Trump received the support of only six of them.

A little-known American political activist, Chase Oliver, received the majority of votes at the convention and will now represent the Libertarian Party in the presidential election.

In addition to Trump, Robert Kennedy Jr. tried to get the Libertarian nomination, but his result was one of the lowest among the presidential candidates.
