At the same time, at the Washington summit, NATO countries noticeably ignored Latin America’s strategic importance, a region that is becoming increasingly vulnerable to the autocratic alliance’s influence.
Since April 2024, Argentina has signaled its willingness to engage in substantial security cooperation with the United States and NATO, limiting its previous ties with China and positioning itself as a key player in countering autocratic influences in the region.
