Supreme Court reform: Democrats craft compelling argument to garner support in November Congressional elections

On July 13, Joe Biden held talks with a group of progressive congressmen in the US Congress, during which the President announced his work with constitutional experts to reform the Supreme Court.

The judicial reform Democrats demanded during the 2020 elections proposes, among other things, term limits for Supreme Court judges and an obligation for judges to adhere to a code of ethics.

In addition, civil society organizations involved in the reform propose other steps, such as increasing the number of judges in lower courts and giving the President the power to appoint the same number of Supreme Court judges in one presidential term.
