This proposal by the representative from North Carolina was a reaction of some Democratic Party influence groups to the crisis that arose in the party environment after Kamala Harris’s defeat in the elections.
After Donald Trump’s inauguration, Harris will resign as Vice President of the United States and will not hold any leadership roles in the Democratic Party.
